GARDER® is a user friendly SAAS based software tool designed and created for cross connection control program managers. GARDER® is the current tool used by the developers to actively manage cross connection control programs for private and municipal clients.
Real time data input for surveys and tests can be accomplished in the field using a mobile device. For ease in managing programs, data can be accessed from a desktop PC. Privileges for the PWS Owner, Administrator, Surveyor, and Tester are incorporated into the application for quality control purposes. The application allows the administrator to monitor the tester for compliance with certification and test kit calibration. Data is stored on a secure cloud based server, and backed up to a different cloud server, for easy access by program personnel. Survey features include degree of hazard, hazard GIS coordinates, photos of hazards, location of hazards, and much more. Pre-stored values for features such as Site Type, Type Backflow Preventers, etc. are include with editing features available. If the program administrator so chooses, the tester can log in remotely and input test results! As a result, this feature alone can reduce or eliminate manpower requirements yielding significant cost savings.
